DTC 11-80: Short to Power in Driver's Airbag
First Inflator
DTC 11-AO: Short to Power in Driver's Airbag
Second Inflator
Special Tools Required
• SRS inflator simulator 07SAZ-TB4011A
• SRS simulator lead F 07XAZ-SZ30100
1. Erase the DTC m e m o r y (see page 24-25).
2. Turn the ignition switch ON (II), and check that the
SRS indicator comes on for about 6 seconds and
then goes off.
Does the SRS indicator
stay on, and is DTC
11-80
or 11-AO
indicated?
Y E S — G o t o step 3.
NO—Intermittent failure, system is OK at this t i m e .
Go to Troubleshooting Intermittent Failures
(see page 24-26). If another DTC is indicated, go to
the DTC Troubleshooting Index.
3. Turn the ignition switch OFF. Disconnect the
battery negative cable, and w a i t for 3 minutes.
4. Disconnect the driver's airbag 4P connector (A)
f r o m the cable reel.
5. Connect the SRS inflator simulator (2 Q,
connectors) and simulator lead F to the cable reel.
6. Reconnect the battery negative cable.
7. Erase the DTC m e m o r y .
8. Read the DTC (see page 24-24).
Is DTC 11-80 or 11-A0
indicated?
Y E S — G o t o step 9.
N O — S h o r t to power in the driver's airbag first or
second inflator; replace the driver's airbag
(see p a g e 2 4 - 1 3 9 ) . B
9. Turn the ignition switch OFF. Disconnect the
battery negative cable, and wait for 3 minutes.
10. Disconnect the dashboard w i r e harness 4P
connector (A) f r o m the cable reel.
11. Connect the SRS inflator simulator (2 Q,
connectors) and the simulator lead to the
dashboard wire harness.
12. Reconnect the battery negative cable.
13. Erase the DTC m e m o r y .
