11. Disconnect dashboard wire harness 21P connector
C551 (A) f r o m the right floor w i r e harness C551 (B).
12. Turn the ignition switch ON (II).
13. Check for voltage between the No. 20 terminal of
dashboard wire harness 21P connector C551 and
body g r o u n d . There should be battery voltage.

14. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
15. Check resistance between the No. 8 terminal of the
OPDS unit 8P connector D and body g r o u n d . There
should be 0—1.0 Q.

Is the resistance as specified?
YES — G o t o step 16.
NO—Open in the OPDS unit harness or right floor
w i r e harness; check the connection at G651
(see page 22-40). If the connection is OK, replace
the faulty harness. •
16. Disconnect the battery negative cable, and w a i t for
3 minutes.
17. Disconnect both seat belt tensioner 4P connectors
(see step 6 on page 24-23).
Is there battery voltage?
YES—Open in the W H T w i r e of the right floor w i r e
harness or OPDS unit harness; replace the faulty
harness. •
NO—Open in the WHT w i r e of the dashboard w i r e
harness; replace the dashboard w i r e harness. •
