S e l f - d i a g n o s t i c P r o c e d u r e
Starting t h e self-diagnostic function ( w i t h Navigation)
1. Turn the ignition switch to ACC (I) or ON (II).
2. Turn the audio unit off.
3. W h i l e holding d o w n the upper part of both the "CH/DISK" and "SEEK/SKIP" bars simultaneously, press the
VOL/PWR knob.
4. " D I A G " will appear on the audio-HVAC subdisplay/clock to indicate you have entered the self-diagnostic mode.
5. By pressing a button while " D I A G " is displayed, the input w i l l trigger a mode that is assigned to that switch.
A M / F M button
Entire LCD lighting mode: Turns on the entire LCD to s h o w the presence or absence of an LCD failure.
C D / A U X or C D / S A T button
Entire LCD light-out mode: Turns off the entire LCD to s h o w the presence or absence o f a n LCD f a i l u r e .
S E E K SKIP bar ( • • ! )
Display IS-BUS c o m m u n i c a t i o n verification status: Displays the verification of the c o m m u n i c a t i o n between the
climate control unit and Navigation-display (toggles between y / N V D " and " A C " every 5 seconds).

Display 12C-BUS c o m m u n i c a t i o n verification status: Displays the verification of the c o m m u n i c a t i o n a m o n g the
display, the EEPROM, and the tuner (toggles between " D S P " , " E E P " and " T N R " every 5 seconds).
S C A N button
Active noise control (ANC) system m o d e : Pressing the SCAN button toggles the active control function between
ON and OFF. After each toggle to OFF, in order to repeat the test, t u r n the ignition switch to OFF(O), then repeat
step 1 then 4.
6. The self-diagnostic function w i l l end w h e n the audio unit is turned off, or the ignition switch is t u r n e d off.
