Diagnostic Function Diagram
This diagram shows the diagnostic slice of the System Function Diagram. It has the diagnostic features of the
navigation system starting at the center and w o r k i n g o u t w a r d in layers. The diagnostic starts at " K e y O N , " and then
displays the Diagnostic Main M e n u (Select Diagnosis items) after:
Starting the vehicle w i t h the SCS connector plugged in to the navigation service check connector (see page 23-144) to
get to the System Links screen, then selecting Return.
Simultaneously pressing and holding the M E N U , MAP/GUIDE, and CANCEL buttons.
The d i a g r a m shows the available m e n u choices starting at the b u t t o m left and m o v i n g clockwise.
In most cases, do not clear or change settings in any diagnostic screen unless instructed to do so in the explanation or
by the factory. If the factory supplies you w i t h a PCMCIA card to place in the PC solt, then the features specified in the
diagram w i t h " C a r d " are available. The section labeled "For Developer O n l y " contains items for factory use. For
instance, the factory m i g h t ask y o u for information f r o m System History.
