Disc changer does not load all six Discs (with
navigation)
NOTE: Disc labels should not be used in the audio unit.
They may damage the player mechanism.
1. Try loading six discs into the audio unit.
Does the audio unit accept all six disks?
YES—Intermittent failure, the audio unit is OK at
this t i m e . B
N O — G o t o step 2.
2. Try loading the disc player w i t h six known-good
discs.
Does the audio unit accept all six disks?
YES—At least one of the original discs is faulty, fl
NO—Replace audio unit (see page 23-71).fl
Audio-HVAC display module switches do not
work
NOTE: In order to troubleshoot the main power switch,
go to ' T o w e r switch w i l l not turn o n " (see page 23-47).
1. Refer to the f o l l o w i n g switch list, and find the
appropriate switch for each button. Then p e r f o r m
the f o l l o w i n g test to identify the switch that does
not w o r k by operating various buttons w h i c h only
belong to that switch.

Switch A: A M / F M , CD/AUX, SCAN, SEEK/SKIP,
UP/DOWN, CH/DISC UP D O W N , LOAD,
EJECT
Switch B: INFO, MAP, M E N U , JOY, CANCEL,
SET UP, Z O O M UP/DOWN
TUNE Push MODE
TEMPERATURE CONTROL, A U T O ,
OFF, DEF, RECIRCURATION,

2. Check to see if the buttons that do not function all
belong to switch A.
Are they all switch A's?
YES—Faulty audio-HVAC display panel and audio
unit. Replace the audio-HVAC display module
(see page 23-69). •
NO — G o to step 3.
3. Check to see if the buttons that do not function all
belong to switch B.
Are they all switch B's?
YES — F a u l t y audio-HVAC display panel and audio
unit. Replace the audio-HVAC display m o d u l e
(see page 23-69). •
NO—Go to step 4.
