Rear Suspension
L o w e r A r m R e p l a c e m e n t
1. Raise the rear of the vehicle, and support it w i t h
safety stands in the proper locations (see page 1-7).
2. Remove the rear w h e e l .
3. Remove the lower a r m m o u n t i n g nut (A) and
m o u n t i n g bolt (B) f r o m the knuckle side.
(11.0 kgf-m, 79.6 Ibf-ft)
4. Remove the flange bolt (C), and remove the lower
a r m (D).
5. Install the lower arm in the reverse order of
r e m o v a l , and note these items:
• Use a new lower arm m o u n t i n g nut on
reassembly.
• Tighten all m o u n t i n g hardware to the specified
torque values.
• Before installing the w h e e l , clean the mating
surface on the brake disc and inside of the wheel.
• Check the wheel alignment, and adjust it if
necessary (see page 18-7).
C o n t r o l A r m R e p l a c e m e n t
1. Raise the rear of the vehicle, and support it w i t h
safety stands in the proper locations (see page 1-7).
2. Remove the rear w h e e l .
3. Remove the control a r m m o u n t i n g nut (A) and
washer (B) f r o m the knuckle side.

4. Mark the cam positions of the adjusting bolt (C) and
adjusting cam (D), then r e m o v e the self-locking nut
(E), and adjusting c a m , and adjusting bolt. Discard
the self-locking nut and control arm m o u n t i n g nut.
5. Remove the control arm (F).
6. Install the control a r m in the reverse order of
removal, and note these items:
• A l i g n the cam positions of the adjusting bolt and
adjusting cam w i t h the marked positions w h e n
tightening.
• Use a new self-locking nut and control arm
m o u n t i n g nut on reassembly.
• Tighten all m o u n t i n g hardware to the specified
torque values.
• Before installing the w h e e l , clean the mating
surface on the brake disc and inside of the w h e e l .
• Check the wheel alignment, and adjust it if
necessary (see page 18-7).
