Seat Belts
R e a r S e a t B e l t R e p l a c e m e n t ( c o n t ' d )
Center Belt and Seat Belt Buckles
1. Remove the rear seat-back and rear seat cushion
(see page 20-95).
2. Remove the center anchor bolts (A), and remove
the seat belt buckles (B).

3. Remove the rear shelf (see page 20-51).
4. Remove the retractor m o u n t i n g self-tapping ET
screw (A) and the retractor bolt (B), then remove
the center belt (C) and retractor (D).
5. Remove the protector (A).

6. Install the seat belt and seat buckles in the reverse
order of removal, and note these items:
• A p p l y liquid thread lock to the anchor bolts
before reinstallation.
• Check that the retractor locking mechanism
functions as described (see page 24-9).
• Assemble the washers on the center anchor bolt
as s h o w n .
• Before installing the center anchor bolt, make
sure there are no twists or kinks in the center belt.
