Seat Belts
F r o n t S e a t B e l t R e p l a c e m e n t
SRS c o m p o n e n t s are located in this area. Review the
SRS c o m p o n e n t locations (see page 24-11) and the
precautions and procedures (see page 24-13) before
p e r f o r m i n g repairs or service.
NOTE: Check the front seat belts for damage, and
replace t h e m if necessary. Be careful not to damage
t h e m during removal and installation.
Front Seat Belt
1. Make sure y o u have the anti-theft codes for the
radio and the navigation s y s t e m , then write d o w n
the audio presets.
2. Slide the front seat f o r w a r d fully.
3. Disconnect the negative cable f r o m the battery, and
w a i t at least 3 minutes before beginning work.
4. Remove the lower anchor cap (A), and remove the
lower anchor bolt (B).

5. Remove the B-pillar lower t r i m (see page 20-48).
6. Remove the upper anchor cover (A), and remove
the upper anchor bolt (B).
7. Disconnect the seat belt tensioner connector (A).
Remove the upper retractor m o u n t i n g bolt (B) and
the lower retractor bolt (C), then remove the front
seat belt (D) and retractor (E).

8. If necessary, remove the front seat belt protector
(F).
9. Remove the B-pillar upper t r i m (see page 20-48).
