Navigation System

If the NG is indicated, check for loose audio unit
connector.

Navi ECU
This screen looks for p r o b l e m w i t h the navigation unit.
W h e n this diagnostic is initiated, there is a delay of up
to a minute while it runs.
• " R O M (Application)", and " R O M (Loader)" are for
factory use.
• If " V - R A M " or " D - R A M " is N G , then replace the
navigation unit.
• if " G P S " indicates " N G ( A N T ) " , then check the entire
GPS antenna w i r e f r o m the navigation unit to the
antenna. If the w i r e is crushed or d a m a g e d , try a
k n o w n good antenna. If this diagnostic reads OK,
then order a new GPS antenna. If the diagnostic still
reads NG (ANT), then replace the navigation unit.
• " D V D R O M " represents the database version on the
DVD. This information can also be f o u n d in Setup
Screen 4 by selecting System Information.
• ''Serial N o . " should be the same as the serial number
f o u n d on the underside of the navigation unit. This
number is needed to obtain the security code f r o m
the Interactive Network (IN) system.
• M e m Clr is for factory use and should not be used
unless instructed by the factory.
Selecting this w i l l erase the customer's settings,
personal i n f o r m a t i o n , GPS orbital data, and anything
else stored in m e m o r y .
PC Card info
There is no PC Card in the PC slot, and the screen
should say, "PC Card is not i n s e r t e d " . Do not insert any
card or object into the slot.
If the factory provides a PC card and instructs you to
insert a card, then the screen displays the Manufacturer,
and Product Name as s h o w n in the f o l l o w i n g screen.
