9. Turn the ignition switch ON (II), and check the same
wires for voltage to body g r o u n d .

Is there any
voltage?
YES—Repair any short to power in the wire(s)
between the audio-HVAC display panel and the
recirculation control motor. This short may also
damage the audio-HVAC display panel. Repair the
short to power before replacing the audio-HVAC
display p a n e l . •
NO—Go to step 10.
10. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
11. Check for continuity between the f o l l o w i n g
terminals of audio-HVAC display panel connector B
(16P) and the recirculation control motor IP
connector.

Is there
continuity?
YES—Check for loose w i r e s or poor connections at
audio-HVAC display panel connector B (16P) and at
the recirculation control m o t o r 7P connector. If the
connections are g o o d , substitute a k n o w n - g o o d
audio-HVAC display panel, and recheck. If the
s y m p t o m / i n d i c a t i o n goes away, replace the
original audio-HVAC display p a n e l . •
NO—Repair any open in the wire(s) between the
audio-HVAC display panel and the recirculation
control motor. •
