DTC 12,14,16,18: Wheel Sensor (Electrical
Noise/Intermittent Interruption)
NOTE: If the ABS Indicator c o m e s on because of
electrical noise, the indicator goes off w h e n y o u test-
drive the vehicle at 19 m p h (30 km/h).
1. Clear the DTC using the HDS (see page 19-35).
2. Disconnect the HDS.
3. Turn the ignition switch OFF, then turn it ON (II)
again.
4. Test-drive the vehicle.
Does the ABS indicator come on?
Y E S — G o t o step 5.
NO—Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this
t i m e . B
5. Check the appropriate w h e e l sensor, and magnetic
encoder (see page 19-81).

Are they OK ?
Y E S — G o t o step 6.
NO—Reinstall or replace the appropriate wheel
sensor, and magnetic encoder. •
6. Disconnect the ABS/TCS control unit 47P connector.
7. Check for continuity between the appropriate
wheel sensor GND t e r m i n a l and other wheel
sensor GND terminals of the ABS/TCS control unit
47P connector (see table).
