D = Destructive; ND = Nondestructive
Notes:
a. This test only runs on an active IPSI circuit pack's Packet Interface.
b. This test only runs on a standby IPSI circuit pack's Packet Interface.
Memory Checksum Test (#884)
This test involves sending a message to the Packet Interface circuit to run private
non-destructive memory checksum tests on the firmware text residing in Boot
PROM and FLASH memory. If the test fails during background testing, the IPSI
circuit pack remains operational until an executed reset. Then, the initialization
firmware fails and puts the IPSI circuit pack in an out-of-service state.
