10) Install pitching stopper and bracket .
(1) Install pitching stopper bracket on transmission
torque converter case .
Tightening torque : N-m (kg-m, ft-Ib)
36-42 (3.7-4.3, 27-31)
(2) Install pitching stopper .
Tightening torque : N-m (kg-m, ft-Ib)
To body side : 47 - 67 (4 .8 - 6.8, 35 - 49)
To bracket side : 34 - 54 (3 .5 - 5.5, 25 - 40)
11) Install starter ASSY.
(1) Install starter ASSY onto transmission case .
(2) Connect magnet coil connector and power sup-
ply terminal .
(3) Tighten bolts which install upper side of starter to
transmission .

46-54 (4 .7-5 .5, 34-40)
(4) Lift up the vehicle .
(5) Tighten nut which install lower side of starter to
transmission .
Tightening torque : N-m (kg-m, ft-Ib)
46 - 54 (4.7 - 5.5, 34 - 40)
12) Install front axle shaft into transmission .
(1) Install front axle shaft into drive shaft.
(2) Install spring pin .
Use new spring pin.
(3) Install ball joint of lower arm into knuckle arm of
housing, and tighten installing bolt .

Tightening torque : N-m (kg-m, ft-Ib)
45-58 (4 .6-5 .9, 33 .2-42 .8)
(4) Install ABS sensor harness and brake pipe onto
strut bracket.
Refer to C .4-1 .
13) Install selector cable into selector lever ASSY .
14) Install selector cable bracket onto body .
Tighten selector cable adjusting and lock nut after
checking selector lever operation [Step . 23)] .
27
