2-11 [w4BO] ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION MOUNTING SYSTEM
1) Install transmission on engine .
6) Tighten bolts which hold upper side of transmission
(1) Gradually raise transmission with transmission to engine .
jack. (1) Lower the vehicle .
(2) Engage them at splines .
(2) Tighten transmission installing bolt .
2) Install transmission rear crossmember to body .
Ti htenin for ue- N " m (kg- m ft-Ib)

7) Install ATF level gauge and front differential oil level
gauge .
8) Install torque converter to drive plate .
(1) Tighten bolts which hold torque converter to
drive plate.
(2) While cranking the engine, tighten other bolts.
Be careful not to drop bolts into torque converter
housing.
Tightening torque : N"m (kg-m, ft-Ib)

3) Take off transmission jack .
4) Tighten nuts which hold lower side of transmission
to engine .
(3) Clog plug onto timing hole .
(4) Install V-belt cover.
9) Remove special tools.
Tightening torque : N"m (kg-m, ft-Ib)
46 - 54 (4.7 - 5.5, 34 - 40)
5) Connect ATF cooler hoses to pipes on transmission
side .
