Faulty solenoid and wiring
Faulty ECU

" Effort is required to operate steering wheel .
Warning lamp illuminates .

1 . Check solenoid unit. Replace power steering or valve .
OK
Not OK
2 . Check harness between ECU and solenoid . Repair or replace harness.
OK
Not OK
Check ECU connector terminals for poor contact .
Repair ECU connector terminals.
OK
Replace ECU .
