(3) When pressure is abnormally high .
[P < Approx . 2,648 kPa (27 kg /cm2, 384 psi)]
If the refrigerant pressure exceeds approx . 2,648 kPa (27
kg /cm2, 384 psi), the spring (2 reverses, and the contact
~A opens to turn the switch OFF.
If the refrigerant pressure lowers to approx . 1,471 kPa (15
kg/c m2, 213 psi), the spring 02 recovers, and the contact
closes to turn the switch ON .

5) Intermediate-pressure switch
[P < Approx . 1,275 kPa (13 kg /cm2, 185 psi)]
When the refrigerant pressure is below 1,275 kPa (13
kg /cm2, 185 psi), the tension of spring 48
exceeds the
refrigerant pressure, and pushes the shaft down to open
the contact, turning the switch OFF.

[P > Approx . 1,569 kPa (16 kg/cm2, 228 psi)]
When the refrigerant pressure is higher than approx.
1,569 kPa (16 kg /cmz, 228 psi), it surpasses the tension
of spring (1) , and pushes the shaft up . As a result, the
contact is closed and the switch is turned ON .
