Requirement
You are in the Interface Configuration mode of the WLAN interface.
The command prompt is as follows:
cli (config-if-wlan-0-X)#
Syntax
Call up the command with the following parameters:
wlan background scan mode { disable | idle | always }
The parameters have the following meaning:

Scanning for further access points is specified.
Further notes
You display the setting with the show wlan client <wlan 0/X> command.

wlan background scan threshold (Client)

Description
With this command, you specify the threshold value. If the threshold is undershot, the client
searches for further access points.
Note
This command is only available in the client mode.

Description
As long as the client is connected, it does not scan for any other access points.
If there is no data traffic for a certain time, the device scans for a different access
point.
Continuous scanning for further access points. With the command, "wlan
background scan interval" you specify the Interval at which the client scans
for further access points.
Wit the command "wlan background scan interval threshold" you specify the
threshold.
If the threshold is undershot, the client searches continuously for further access
points.
