Extended Frequency Ranges – Supplemental specs
Extended frequency range operation is supported for applications that require less than 15
Hz or more then 1200Hz fundamental frequency output. Extended frequency range
operating is enabled by setting the lower and upper user limits for frequency below 15 or
above 1200 respectively.
In this mode, some specifications are de-rated as follows:
Range extension:
AC voltage and RMS current limited proportionally based on current:
Allows any frequency/voltage combination, but relies on the AFX internal protections. The
AFX can trip faults when operating beyond V/I/F limits of range 0.
This range is useful to operate the AFX at certain operating points that are not possible in
standard frequency range for short periods of time.
Charts below show graphical representation of extended frequency operation.
