NOTE
• Make sure the power cables are connected to the R/L1, S/L2, and T/L3. (Phase need not be matched.) Never connect the
power cable to the U, V, and W of the inverter. Doing so will damage the inverter.
• Connect the motor to U, V, and W. (The phases must be matched.)
• When wiring the inverter main circuit conductor of the FR-F840-05470(250K) or higher, tighten a nut from the right side of the
conductor. When wiring two cables, place cables on both sides of the conductor. For wiring, use bolts (nuts) provided with the
inverter. (Refer to the following figure.)
 Handling of the wiring cover
(For the FR-F820-00630(15K) to 00930(22K) and FR-F840-00310(15K) to 00620(30K))
For the hook of the wiring cover, cut off the necessary parts using a pair of needle-nose pliers etc.
NOTE
• Cut off the same number of lugs as wires. If parts where no wire is put through have been cut off (10 mm or more), protective
structure (IEC60529) becomes an open type (IP00).

Applicable cables and wiring length

Select a recommended size cable to ensure that the voltage drop ratio is within 2%.
If the wiring distance is long between the inverter and motor, the voltage drop in the main circuit will cause the motor torque to
decrease especially at a low speed.
The following table shows a selection example for the wiring length of 20 m.
