PRECAUTIONS FOR MAINTENANCE AND

INSPECTION

This chapter explains the precautions for maintenance and inspection of this product.
Always read the instructions before use.
For the precautions for maintenance and inspection of the separated converter type inverter, refer to the FR-F802 (Separated
Converter Type) Instruction Manual (Hardware).
For the precautions for maintenance and inspection of the IP55 compatible model inverter, refer to the FR-F806 (IP55/UL Type
12 specification) Instruction Manual (Hardware).
7.1
Inspection item
The inverter is a static unit mainly consisting of semiconductor devices. Daily inspection must be performed to prevent any fault
from occurring due to the adverse effects of the operating environment, such as temperature, humidity, dust, dirt and vibration,
changes in the parts with time, service life, and other factors.
 Precautions for maintenance and inspection
When accessing the inverter for inspection, wait for at least 10 minutes after the power supply has been switched OFF. Then,
make sure that the voltage across the main circuit terminals P/+ and N/- on the inverter is not more than 30 VDC using a tester,
etc.
7.1.1
Daily inspection
Basically, check for the following faults during operation.
• Motor operation fault
• Improper installation environment
• Cooling system fault
• Abnormal vibration, abnormal noise
• Abnormal overheat, discoloration
7.1.2
Periodic inspection
Check the areas inaccessible during operation and requiring periodic inspection. Consult us for periodic inspection.
Check and clean the cooling system:
Check the tightening and retighten:
Check the conductors and insulating materials for corrosion and damage.
Measure the insulation resistance.
Check and change the cooling fan and relay.
NOTE
• When using the safety stop function, periodic inspection is required to confirm that safety function of the safety system
operates correctly. For more details, refer to the Safety Stop Function Instruction Manual.
