Diagnostic Procedure

START SIGNAL (Not self-diagnostic item)
INSPECTION START
CHECK OVERALL FUNCTION.
1) Turn ignition switch
2) Check start signal in
"DATA MONITOR"
mode with CONSULT.
IGN "ON"
IGN "START"
W. 8
1) Turn ignition switch to
"START".
2) Check voltage between
E.C.U. terminal
@
and
ground.
Voltage:
Ignition switch
"START"
Battery voltage
Except above
Approximately O V
INSPECTION END

Check the following:
m Harness connectors
10A fuse
m Harness continuitv between
CHECK SIGNAL CIRCUIT.
1) Turn ignition switch 'OFF".
2) Disconnect E.C.U. harness
connector and ignition switch
harness connector.
3) Check harness continuity
between E.C.U. terminal

and the start terminal on
Check E.C.U. pin terminals for
damage or the connection of
E.C.U. harness connector.

E.C.U. and ignition switch
If N.G., repair harness or con-
nectors.
the ignition switch.
Continuity should exist.
