Engine Stalls
when Accelerating or when Driving at Constant
Speed
PERFORM POWER BALANCE TEST.

When disconnecting each injec-
tor harness connector one at a
time, is there any cylinder which
does not produce a momentary
engine speed drop?
Yes

1. Remove crank angle sensor from
circuit(s).
engine. (Harness connector should
remain connected.)
2. Disconnect each ignition wire.
3.
Turn ignition switch ON. (Do not start
engine.)
4. When rotating crank angle sensor
shaft, does each injector make an
operating sound?
Go to
1.
Perform "POWER BALANCE"

in "ACTIVE TEST" mode.
2. Is there any cylinder which
does not produce a momen-
Check ignition coil, power
transistor unit and their
circuits.

CHECK IGNITION SPARK.
1. ~ischnnect each spark plug cap.

2. Connect a known good spark plug to
each spark plug cap.
3. Place end of spark plug against a
suitable ground and crank engine.
4. Check for spark.
