Checking Drive Belts
1. lnspect for cracks, fraying, wear or oil adhesion. If neces-
sary, replace with a new one.
2.
lnspect drive belt deflections by pushing on the belt midway
between pulleys.
Adjust if belt deflections exceed the limit.
Belt deflection:
Inspect drive belt deflections when engine is cold.
