7.4 DHCP Relay
Requirement
You are in the Global Configuration mode.
The command prompt is as follows:
cli(config)#
Syntax
Call the command without parameter assignment:
ip dhcp relay common-agent-address
Result
The relay agent uses a common agent address in DHCP requests.
Further notes
You disable the use of a common agent address with the no ip dhcp relay common-
agent-address command.
You define a common agent address with the ip dhcp relay common-agent-address-
interface command.
You reset the common agent address to the default value with the no ip dhcp relay
common-agent-address-interface command.

Description
With this command, you disable the use of a common agent address. When the function is
disabled, the relay uses the address of the receiving port in DHCP requests.
