PINPOINT TEST B : FUEL PUMP FUEL SUPPLY TEST
TEST CONDITIONS
B1: CHECK THE FUEL PUMP FUEL SUPPLY PRESSURE
03/2008 (303-04B Fuel Charging and Controls -
1.8L Duratorq-TDCi (Lynx) Diesel/1.8L Duratorq-
TDDi (Lynx) Diesel, Removal and Installation).
Test the system for normal operation.

Clean the area around the fuel filter quick release

couplings.

Disconnect the fuel tank to fuel filter fuel supply

line quick release coupling.

Install the special tool adapter to the fuel tank to

fuel filter fuel supply line.
Install the special tool adapter to the fuel filter.

NOTE: Make sure that the hand pressure pump
arrow indicating the fuel flow is pointing towards
the fuel filter.
Install the special tool between the special tool
5
adapters.
Connect the WDS pressure transducer to the
6
special tool.
