Cisco CMTS Configuration Commands
cable device
To configure access list for a CM device or host, use the cable device command in privileged EXEC
mode. To remove an access group, use the no access-group option of this command.
The cable device command is not supported on the Cisco uBR10012 universal broadband router.

Usage Guidelines
For the virtual route forwarding (VRF) syntax of this command, only the IP address option is supported.
Examples
The following example shows how to assign an access list to the MAC address of a cable device:
Router# configure terminal
Router(config)# cable device 0010.7b6b.77ed acc 1
Router(config)# exit

Description
Ported from earlier releases.
The vrf keyword was added for Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS)
VPN support.
Note
IP address for the device.
MAC address for the device.
Enables access-group options. The no form removes access-group
specifications.
Specifies the IP access list (standard or extended), either by access-
list number (1 to 199) or by access-list name.
Specifies routing and forwarding instance that is populated with
Virtual Private Network (VPN) routes. The vrf-name argument
specifies the name for the virtual route forwarding instance.
The vrf keyword is not supported on the 12.0 SC, 12.1 EC and
12.2 BC releases.
