16.9.2.2 WPA
You can only configure a WPA or check WPA status on the keypad if there is a wireless module
l
fitted on the panel or any of the panel expanders.
A WPA is compatible with SiWay RF Kit (SPCW110, 111, 112, 114 ) only.

A WPA is not assigned to a user. Usually, a WPA is shared by several people, for example, security
guards working in shifts. Alternatively a WPA may be permanently attached to a surface such as under a
desk or behind a till.
You can connect up to 128 WPAs per SPC panel.
Add a WPA
To add a WPA with the keypad:
1. Select WIRELESS > WPA > ADD.
2. Select MANUALLY to manually enter a WPA ID.
Alternatively, the ID can be entered automatically by the panel by selecting the LEARN WPA
option. Press any button on the WPA when the ACTIVATE WPA message is displayed, for the
panel to identify the WPA. The panel will not accept a WPA if the WPA ID is a duplicate of a
currently configured WPA.
3. Exit the ADD menu.
4. Select the EDIT menu to configure the WPA.
Edit a WPA
To edit a WPA, select WIRELESS > WPA > EDIT and edit the relevant fields.

DESCRIPTION Enter a description to uniquely identify the WPA.
TRANSMITTER Enter the WPA ID. The panel will not accept a WPA if the WPA ID is already in use.

FUNC. TO Use this section to assign functions to button combinations. Available functions are Panic,
BUTTONS Panic Silent, Holdup, Suspicion, RF User Output, Medical. More than one button combination
can be selected for the same function. For example:

Note: If no function is assigned to a button combination, it is still possible to use that
combination by using a trigger. See Triggers on page 292.
