INSPECTION PROCEDURE: P0500 and P0501

Inspect the combination meter

Was any failure found?
Check the combination meter (vehicle speed
signal system).
Perform "After-inspection work" of INFOR-
MATION section.

Check the DTC detected (vehicle control ECU)

Has DTC (P0500 or P0501) been detected?
Go to step 3.
ENGINE (J05E)/TROUBLESHOOTING
1. Drive the vehicle and confirm that the combination meter (speed-
ometer) is working properly.
YES
1. Set the starter key to the "LOCK" position.
Connect the vehicle to HINO DX Ⅱ .

3. Set the starter key to the "ON" position.
4. Select [VCS] and check if the DTC (P0500 or P0501) has been
detected.
