4.3 Scanner Unit
Notes:
Since the scanner section is assembled with high precision, be sure not to perform any
disassembling other than that instructed in the Service Manual.
4.3.1

Original glass

(1) Remove the right top cover.
 P. 4-3 "4.1.8 Right top cover"
(2) Remove 2 screws and take off the original
glasses [1] and [2].
Notes:
• Make sure that the original glass [2] is
securely inserted into the groove of the
fixing part of the original glass [1].
• Securely insert 2 pins of the original glass
[1] into the holes in the frame.
4.3.2 Lens cover
(1) Remove the original glass.

(2) Remove 2 screws and take off the lens cover
[1] by sliding it toward the left side.
