Inspection
1 . Check for continuity between terminals @ and 0.
There should be no continuity.
2.
Connect a 12 V battery across terminals @ and 0.
There should be continuity between terminals @I
and 0.
-Inspection
1 .
Check the pulser for chipped or damaged teeth.
2. Measure air gap between the sensor and pulser all
the way around while rotating the driveshaft by
hand.
(A) - (B) = Standard: 0.4- 1 .O mm
(0.016-0.039
NOTE: If the gap exceeds 1 .O mm (0.039 in.), the
probability is a distorted knuckle which should be
replaced.
