VACUUM PUMP/
GAUGE
Inspect the fuel pump resistor
(page 11-108).
Turn the ignition switch OFF.
Disconnect #4 hose from the in-
stall pipe, connect vacuum pump
to the hose.

Start the engine
Hold engine speed at 6500 rpm
for 10 seconds.
Is the check Engine warning light
CONTROL

Intermittent failure,
system is OK at this
time.
Check for poor con-
nections or loose wires
at fuel pump, main
relay, fuel pump relay
and fuel pump resistor.
