Problem Code 7-4, 7-8: Rear Solenoid Problem
CAUTION: Use only the digital multimeter to check the system.
connectors
Disconnect the 3P
from rear solenoid.
Check for resistance between
No. 1 (RED) and No. 3 (BLK):
Rear Right Inlet
No. 2 (RED) and No. 3 (BLK):
Rear Left Inlet
Is there 1-3 G?
Check for resistance between
the solenoid terminals:
No. 2 (YEL) and No. 3 (BLK):
Rear Right Outlet
No. 1 (YEL) and No. 3 (BLK):
Rear Left Outlet

Is there 1-3 C?
Disconnect the 18P .connector I
from the control unit.
Check each wire for continuity
between the control unit :.and
body ground:
YEL/WHT: Rear Right Outlet
YELIGRN: Rear Left Outlet
YES
Check each wire for continuity
between the control unit and
body ground:
REDIWHT: Rear Right Inlet
Rear Left Inlet

Repair short in wire:
REDIWHT: Rear Right Inlet
YELIWHT: Rear Right Outlet
