Does the pump motor run?
NO
Disconnect the 20P connector
from the control unit.
Check for continuity between
the No. 35 (YEL) terminal and
body ground.

Is there continuity?
NO
Connect the No. 25 (YEL/RED)
terminal to body ground using a
jumper wire.
Turn the ignition switch ON.
Does the pump motor run?
NO
Remove the pump motor relay
and check the pump motor relay
(page 19-71).

Does it work properly?
Y E S
Connect the No. 2 (WHT/BLU)
and No. 4 terminals using a
jumper wire.
Does the pump motor run?
Y E S
Check for voltage between the
No. 3 (YELIBLK) terminal (+I and
body ground (-).
Is there battery voltage?
Y E S
Repair open in VELIRED wire be-
tween the control unit and pump
motor relay.

CONNECTOR
Repair short in YEL wire between
the control unit and pressure
switch.
Substitute a known-
good control unit and
recheck. If prescribed
voltage is now availa-
ble, replace the original
control unit.
Faulty pump motor relay.

Repair open in VELlBLK wire be-
tween the No. 4 fuse and pump
motor relay.
