Check the steering angle sensor
system (see page 19-96).
Does it flash 5 times.
Y E S
Steering angle sensor
system is OK.
Turn the ignition switch OFF.
Replace the steering column as-
sembly.
Start
Perform the steering angle sensor
system check (see page 19-96).

Does it flash 5 times.
YES
Steering angle sensor
system is OK.

Inspect each part again.
