Damper Rear
Damper Disassembly/Inspection
Disassemblv:
1 . Compress the damper spring with the spring com-
pressor according to the manufacture's instruc-
tions.
CAUTION: Do not compress the spring more than
necessary to remove the 10 mm flange nut.
2. Remove the 10 mm self-locking nut from the
damper assembly.
3. Remove the spring compressor and disassembly
the damper as shown on page 18-41.

2. Push on the damper assembly as shown.
3. Check for smooth operation through a full stroke,
both compression and

If it does not (no compression or no extension),
then gas is leaking, and the damper should be
replaced.
