Ail SRS wire harnesses and connectors
are colored yellow. Do not use electrical test equipment
on these circuits.
CAUTION: Be careful not to damage the SRS wire har-
nesses when servicing the cigarette lighter.
SRS MAIN &IRE HARNESS
1 . Remove the clock (see page 23-225).

Remove the 2 screws, then remove the center air
vent.
3. Remove the 4 screws, then remove the center
armrest.
4. Take out the ashtray.
5. Remove the 5 screws and center console panel, then
disconnect the 3-P connector and 4-P conenctor
from the floor wire harness.

Disconnect the therm0 fuse case from the socket
end.
Remove the ring nut and separate the cigarette iight-
er socket from the thermal protector.
When installing the cigarette lighter, align each lug
on the face panel, illumination ring and cigarette
lighter socket with the groove of the hole, then po-
sition the bulb case on the thermal protector be-
tween the stoppers of the center console panel.
Make sure that the ground wire, bulb socket and
fuse case are seated to the cigarette lighter
assembly.
