Power Windows
-Control Unit Input Test
NOTE: The control unit only controls the driver's door
window.
Remove the driver's door trim panel and disconnect the
4-P and 6-P connectors from the control unit.
Make sure the following input tests at the harness pins.
NOTE:
tor connected with the door wire harness.
6-P connectors, and the control unit, then replace
the control unit if all input tests prove OK.

Under all conditions.

Ignition switch ON.

Ignition switch ON and

BLKNEL
driver's switch UP.
Ignition switch ON and

driver's switch DOWN.
Ignition switch ON and

(AUTO).
Connect the WHTNEL ter-

B L U
minal to the RED/BLU ter-
and
minal, and the BLK terminal
to the REDNEL terminal.

Test: desired result
Check for continuity to ground:
should be continuity.
Check for voltage to ground:
should be battery voltage.
Check for voltage to ground:
should be battery voltage as the
switch is turned.
Check for resistance between the
BLU and BLK terminals:
should indicate between 20-50
ohms as the motor runs.

Possible cause (if result is not obtained)
Poor ground (G401, 402).

An open in the wire.

Blown No. 50 (2OA) fuse.

Faulty power window relay.

Faulty key-off timer system.
