2.1.2 Configuring a Multicast MAC Address Entry

In Layer 2 multicast, the system can add multicast forwarding entries dynamically
through a Layer 2 multicast protocol. Alternatively, you can statically bind a port to a
multicast MAC address entry by configuring a multicast MAC address entry manually.
Generally, when receiving a multicast packet for a multicast group not yet registered on
the switch, the switch will flood the packet within the VLAN to which the port belongs.
You can configure a static multicast MAC address entry to avoid this.
