Set Uplink Parameters

The example below illustrates how to configure the PRACH and how to indicate what primary scrambling code
the UE is using. The operating mode must be Cell Off to set these parameters.

Set up Call Parameters

You must set the frequency at which the downlink will transmit, by specifying either the UARFCN or the
frequency.
You must indicate to the 8960 at what frequency the UE will transmit. (Unlike other technologies, in
W-CDMA the uplink channel is not automatically determined based on the downlink channel. The offset
between the uplink and downlink may vary based upon which band class you are operating in. So, you must
specify the uplink frequency.) You can specify the expected uplink frequency by UARFCN or by frequency.
You can specify the downlink DPCH type (12.2k or 64k RMC ) and data type (such as PRBS15).
