Statement introduced in Junos OS Release 12.2 for ACX Series Routers.
Specify the Ethernet equipment clock (EEC) synchronization networking type.
Depending on the configuration of the Synchronization Status Messages (SSM) quality
level (QL), the network option functions in the following ways:
option-1 —QL must be configured for external clocks (
enabled.
—The default QL for external clocks is QL_STU whether or not QL is enabled.

—EEC-Option 1 applies to Synchronous Ethernet equipment optimized for

2048 Kbps. With this option, the BITs interface operates at the speed of an E1 interface.
