Gearbox.
Check the condition of the fro nt coupling gear teeth: they must be perfect and hove sharp edges. The idle
gea r ~ rnust
lreely rotate on their shafts;
check the roller half bearing w ear. Then, the shaft threodings and grooves must be in perfect conditions.
Check fo r the good conditio n of all fhe w mponents of the gear coupling mechanism.
Shift all gears to veri fy if the change control stumbles (gear fork·groove and desmodrom ic drum fork-groove pin). due to wro ng end floats. Correct
ony w ro ng end float by shiming the gear ::.holts and drum through proper shimming washers.
Tota l gearbox drum end float : 0.008 in .
Total gearbox shafts end float 0 .004 in.
