Registrazione minimo.
La registrozione del titolo della miscelo ol minima e uno dei porometri d i fun zio nomento
del motore controlloti do quasi tutte le normative ontinquinomento internozionole. E'
pertonto facile comprendere come Ia regi strozione della stesso pu6 essere effettuoto
con due criteri diversi e SEMPRE contro stonti. II rispetto d i queste normative porter6 ad
overe un titolo della miscelo • mogro" (intorno ol volore 1 • 5% di CO), I' esigenzo di uno
migliore guidobilit6 portero invece ad overe un titolo di "mossimo corico" equivolente
ad uno percentuole di CO compreso tro 3 e 6%. Consideriomo quest' ultimo criteria;

Lo strumento di controllo e il vocuometro a colonne di mercuric. Occorre gorontire che

Idle adjushnent.
The adjustment of the idle mixture strength is one of the motor operati on parameters
controlled by almost all international anti-pollution norms. Therefore it is easy to
understand how this adjustment con be performed based on two different criteria,
always in contrast each other. The compl iance with these norms will result in o "leon" mixture [about 1,5% of CO) while the requirement of a beller
driving capability will on the contrary need a "max. load" mixture, corresponding to a percentage of CO ranging from 3 to 6%.
If using this lost criterion, the adjustments to be performed ore the following :
a) Heat the motor using it lor l 0 minutes at about 2/3 of the max. power and loading conditions;
b) Compensate the a ir capacity on the corburettor ducts.
The check gouge is the vocuometer with mercury columns. Assure that the columns ore compensated. This operation is performed using only one
of the by·poss screws (A) (the other one must be completely closed). Therefore open the screw corresponding to the higher column;
c) Ad just the mixture strength.
The check instrument is the exhaust gas analyzer. Through the mixture strength screws (A) reach for both cylinders a CO percentage between 3
and 6%. The absolute value shall be quite equal f.or'both cylinders [included within the above mentioned values)
d) By means of the speed screw (B) set the rotation speed too value within 1200 and 1300 r.p.m .
The execution in sequence of the a.m . operations con change the result of the previous ones, therefore try to reach the best compromise,
corresponding in this case to the following: Mercury columns balanced; content in CO from 3 to 6%; idle rpm o f about 1200+ 1300 rpms.
