I. Configuring maps
You may configure maps by using the commands listed in the following table.
Perform the following configuration in system view.

Configure
drop-precedence map.
Restore the default COS to
drop-precedence map setting.
Configure
local-precedence map.
Restore the default CoS to
local-precedence map setting.
By default, the switches assign conform-level and local-precedence to received
packets using the default map settings of the system.
II. Assigning a default local-precedence value to a port
Perform the following configuration in Ethernet interface view.

Assign a default local-precedence value to the port.
Restore the default local-precedence value to its
default setting.

2.4.2 Configuring Traffic Policing

Traffic policing implements the traffic-based rate restraint. It monitors the rate of a type
of traffic and takes the action appropriate to it if the traffic size exceeds the specified
limitation, for example, dropping the packets beyond the specified limitation or
assigning new precedence values to them.
