Used to delete an entry from the switch's forwarding database.
delete fdb <vlan_name 32> <macaddr>
The delete fdb deletes a permanent FDB entry.
vlan_name - The name of the VLAN on which the MAC address resides. The maximum
length is 32 characters.
macaddr - The multicast MAC address to be deleted from the static forwarding table.
Only Administrator and Operator-level users can issue this command.
Used to clear the switch's forwarding database of all dynamically learned MAC addresses.
clear fdb [ vlan <vlan_name 32> | port <port> | all ]
The clear fdb command clears all dynamically learned MAC addresses from the switch's
forwarding database..
vlan_name - The name of the VLAN on which the MAC address resides. The maximum
length is 32 characters.
port - The port number corresponding to the MAC destination address. The switch will always
forward traffic to the specified device through this port.
Only Administrator and Operator-level users can issue this command.
