configure debug-trace vrrp
configure debug-trace vrrp <debug level> vlan <vlan name>
Description
This command records debug information to the syslog.
NOTE
This command is available only on the "i" series switches.
Syntax Description
debug level
Specifies a debug level:
0 — Records critical errors, such as a task crash or an interface down.
1 — Records warning messages.
2 — Records concise packet information.
3 — Records the same information recorded in level 2, with more detail.
4 — Displays a dump of each packet.
5 — No additional information recorded.
vlan name
Specifies a VLAN name.
Default
The default level is 0.
Usage Guidelines
The
range is 0 to 5. Higher levels record more verbose messages. Higher levels also
debug level
record the messages recorded at lower levels.
Example
The following command sets the reporting level for VRRP to 5:
configure debug-trace vrrp 5
Following is the log output at this level:
<DBUG:SYS > Vlan/Vrid=vlan1/1 Putting virtualMac (00:00:5e:00:01:01) into arpcom
<DBUG:SYS > Vlan/Vrid=vlan1/1 Putting systemMac (00:01:30:04:c8:00) into arpcom
