Usage Guidelines
Use this command to ensure proper binding of the MAC address to a slot ID when the configuration is
being uploaded to a TFTP server for reuse. When the configuration is downloaded from the TFTP
server, the stack manager can update the MAC address binding for the members and properly assign
the slot numbers and restore the stack.
NOTE
This command should be used only in a configuration upload-download scenario. The command should
not be used through CLI.
This command can also be helpful for pre-staging, where multiple stacks exist that have identical
configurations. In this case, the uploaded configuration can be modified with the proper MAC-address
for the specific stack and downloaded.
