configure eaps shared-port segment-timeout expiry-action

configure eaps shared-port <port> segment-timeout expiry-action
[segment-down | send-alert]
Description
Configures the expiry action of the shared port when the segment timer times out.
Syntax Description
port
Specifies the port number of the shared port.
segment-down Specifies that the status of the segment will be set to down when the segment timer expires.
send-alert
Specifies that a critical message will be sent to the syslog when the segment timer expires. The
segment status will remain in Up state.

Usage Guidelines
The shared port can be configured to send an alert or move the segment to down state when the
segment timer expires.
Use segment-down option if you have non-extreme switches in the ring that does not understand EAPS
protocol, or if you have switches that does not run EAPS.
Example
The following command configures the segment timeout expiry action of EAPS shared port 1:1 to
segment-down:
config eaps shared-port 1:1 segment-timeout expiry-action segment-down
