Tips for improving cellular signal strength
If the signal strength LEDs or the signal quality for your device indicate Poor or No service, try the
following things to improve signal strength:

Move the IX40 device to another location.
n
Try connecting a different set of antennas, if available.

AT command access
To run AT commands from the IX40 command line:
Command line
1. Select the device in Remote Manager and click Actions > Open Console, or log into the IX40
local command line as a user with full Admin access rights.
Depending on your device configuration, you may be presented with an Access selection
menu. Type admin to access the Admin CLI.
2. At the Admin CLI prompt, type modem at-interactive and press Enter. Type n if you do not
want exclusive access. This allows you to send AT commands to the device while still allowing
the device to connect, disconnect, and/or reconnect to the cellular network.
3. At the Admin CLI prompt, use the
command session:
> modem at-interactive
Do you want exclusive access to the modem? (y/n) [y]:
4. Type n if you do not want exclusive access. This allows you to send AT commands to the
device while still allowing the device to connect, disconnect, and/or reconnect to the cellular
network.
The following is an example interactive AT command:
> modem at-interactive
Do you want exclusive access to the modem? (y/n) [y]: n
Starting terminal access to modem AT commands.
Note that the modem is still in operation.
To quit enter '~.' ('~~.' if using an ssh client) and press ENTER
