Digital Input/Output and Analog Input
b. Click the Device ID.
c. Click Settings.
d. Click to expand Config.
Local Web UI:
a. On the menu, click System. Under Configuration, click Device Configuration.
The Configuration window is displayed.
3. Click I/O > Monitoring.
4. Click to expand Server.
5. For Add Server, type a name of the server and click g .
6. For Address, type the hostname or IPv4 address of the server.
7. For Port, type the port on the remote server where the monitoring information should be sent.
8. For Communication protocol, select TCP or UDP. The default is TCP.
9. For Polling period, type or select the interval, in seconds, that the device will use to upload
I/O information to the remote server.
10. Repeat these steps for additional remote monitoring servers.
11. Click Apply to save the configuration and apply the change.
Command line
1. Select the device in Remote Manager and click Actions > Open Console, or log into the IX40
local command line as a user with full Admin access rights.
Depending on your device configuration, you may be presented with an Access selection
menu. Type admin to access the Admin CLI.
2. At the command line, type config to enter configuration mode:
> config
(config)>
3. Add a remote server:
(config)> add io monitoring sever name
(config io monitoring server name )>
4. Set the hostname or IPv4 address of the server:
(config io monitoring server name )> address IPv4_address
(config io monitoring server name )>
5. Set the port on the remote server where the monitoring information should be sent:
(config io monitoring server name )> port port
