keepalive (PPP)
Use the keepalive command in a PPP interface to enable PPP keepalive, in order to maintain
a persistent connection. Entering keepalive without a parameter returns the keepalive to its
default value. Use the no form of this command to disable PPP keepalive.

Example
To enable PPP keepalive, and generate a message every 300 seconds:
